- Has anyone fathomed how to view Hikvision on a Mac with OS updated to the latest Catalina? I have tried iVMS4200 - crashes every thime Sea Monkey - Live view not working Never managed to get safari or Firefox - even with plugins - but they're totally out of the running now. Any genius that has cracked the Hikvision/Mac mystery please help!!!!!
- UPDATE: Hikvision firmware releases (NVR: 4.22.00 / Camera: 5.6.0) now supports a native plugin which allows for video viewing in Chrome and Firefox browsers. Hikvision's current use of NPAPI plugin for web browsers to display video no longer works in Google Chrome v45 (since September 2015) and in Firefox v52.0 released 7th march 2017. This means users will no longer be able to successfully.

Any thoughts on the following? I just upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Windows 10 appears to have a new browser called Microsoft Edge. I am unable to see Live View when opening my Hikvision cams (DS-2CD2032-I 5.3.0) with Microsoft Edge. It keeps requesting me to download and install the plug-in (webcomponents). I have uninstalled webcomponents and re-installed it multiple times with Edge closed. I get the same request every time I try to open with Edge and Live View is not available. I am able to see Live view when I use IE 11 and Google Chrome.
